Through the United Way Bailey and Wood stepped up and organized a Christmas sponsorship of three local families. Directed by Marketing Manager Michael Bentley the staff got presents, wrapping paper and food to help out. “It was something I won’t forget and it put into meaning what Christmas is truly about. To see the look on the families faces and the hope that they had at that moment was priceless” , said Bentley.

Cory Walradth was awarded as Affiliate of the Year at the Shelby County MIBOR Christmas Party in early December. “I was honored to receive this Award from all the realtors in Shelby County as I have really put my efforts into building strong relationships with the realtors and their clients and now with us having our new office downtown Shelbyville we feel like we can continue to build upon this, said Cory.”

On November 16th mortgage consultants Chris Maddox, Grant Lyons with Sales Manager Vince Chittum and Marketing Manager Michael Bentley all pictured, participated in a Bowl-a-Thon and sponsored a lane at Sunset Bowl for the Western Division of MIBOR. “It is always a great time seeing so many familiar faces and all for great causes, said Chittum”. “At Bailey & Wood we really love being active in events and staying in front of our realtors and clients as we feel nothing is more important than the valued friendships we have created and made along the way, said Bentley”.

On Thursday September 15th a team lead by Sr. Mortgage Consultant Cory Walradth (pictured to left) next to hole he sponsored, participated in the Shelby County MIBOR Golf Outing. The Bailey & Wood team consisted of Cory, Sr Mortgage Consultant Jim Mara, Regional Manager Brock Walradth and USDA Underwriter Brian Smith. “It is always a great time when hanging out with the Shelby County realtors and people around this area. They have been good to me and Bailey & Wood so it was nice to help and give back some as well, said Cory.”

Bailey & Wood recently presented a Bowl-a-Thon at Southern Bowl in Greenwood to honor the late Gwen Mitchell who passed away after a car accident leaving behind her 10 yr old son. With the help of many fellow supporters, bowlers and family we all were able to raise over $6,000 for the fund on Sunday August 21,2011. Pictured are D. Bailey & Wood had staff on hand to help work the event and donated a $1 for every strike thrown at the event. Also pictured the staff of volunteers who wore purple shirts (gwens’ favorite color) honoring her. “Overall we were very pleased with the wonderful turnout during the event on Sunday and it shows that the community really cared about this woman, her family and those left behind. To raise the amount we all did in such a short time planning and working this event is simply amazing and a testament to all those involved, said Mike Wood”
